If you work in clay and use any form of traditional, or non
traditional, print and clay techniques, and would like your work
included in this site, please contact Les Lawrence. Include a short resume in word format, photographs of
your work in jpeg or gif format and the web address to your site.
Each item should be a seperate attachment. The usual non
liability clauses apply.
The following is a listing of clay artists using print and clay techniques.
Les Lawrence Les is head of Ceramics at Grossmont College, El Cajon, California. He has shown and lectured internationally in England, Scotland, Korea, New Zealand, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. He specializes in photo silk-screen printing on clay. Les's page contains links to his resume, his own site and the Grossmont College Ceramics department.
Paul Scott Senior Research Fellow, Ceramics, in the Department of Fine Art, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. Freelance artist, writer and curator since 1985. The piece exhibited here is Contempory Blue and White Overglaze Decals. There is also a link to Paul's own site, Hot Off The Press, Paul's resume and an e-mail link.

Mary Jo Bole Associate Professor in Ceramics at Ohio State University Columbus, Ohio. Mary Jo constructs mixed media graphic intensive ceramic mosaic sculptures combining clay, wood, bronze, and other materials. Mary Jo has received an Andy Warhol Foundation Grant through the Womans Studio Workshop in 1999 and an Ohio Arts Council Grant in 2000. Rich Briggs Rich is a Professor at Ricks College in Rexberg Idaho. The pieces here are Color Copy Transfers.
Jacqueline Brown Jaqueline's work here demonstrates transfer prints slip, engobe and glaze.
Mark Burleson Mark is the Director of the Odyssey Center for the Ceramic Arts in Asheville, NC and also instructs at the Odyssey Center, in addition he is an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina in Asheville, NC. The techniques Mark shows in the pieces submitted to our museum involve ceramics, silkscreen processes using ceramic materials, digital imaging and manipulation, computer transfers fired onto clay, wood working, painting and drawing. Beth Forer Beth has worked in merikomi (colored clay). For our museum she has recreated some of the patterns in photo silk-screened decals.
Tim Guthrie Tim blends iconography with realism in his ceramics.
Claus Hansen Claus shows us a screen print and decal sculpture.
YC Kim The artist shows us Computer Assisted Laser Decals. Yoonchung is a Professor at San Diego City College and the Artistic Director at Combined Organization of Visual Arts in San Diego. There is a resume link and an e-mail link on this page.

Dick Lehman For the piece we have on display here Dick scanned an image into a computer, then laser engraved it on a mug using a "chuck" tool to engrave all around the finished pot.
Mimi Logothetis Mimi earned her Summa Cum Laude B.F.A. in Ceramics at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, PA. Her we display her showcases a xerox transfer technique.

John McCuistion John is a Professor of History at the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington. He possesses an MFA from the University of Montana at Missoula. His works are part of many permanent collections around the U.S. and Canada.

Scott Rench Scott received his MFA from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in Edinboro, PA. He is currently the Art Director for the Mobium Creative Group. This page displays six of Scott's pieces, an e-mail link and a link to his resume.
Sam Rosby and Glenn Wexler This is a collaborative piece by Sam Rosby and Glenn Wexler.
Pamela Segers Pamela uses airbrushes and silkscreens with velvet underglazes in this piece.
Nancy Selvin Nancy earned her Masters at the University of California in Berkeley, CA. Her work has been exhibited around the world. Nancy's work here shows computer scans converted to film for photographic silk-screenceramic pigment printing. There is a link to Nancy's resume on this page,
Richard Shaw Richard's work displayed here are pieces using photograhpic silkscreen.
AndrČ Van DePutte AndreĽ is presently an Associate Professor of Art and Interior Design at Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts. The peice we display here is made with both ceramic and photographic skill.

Marjorie Woodruff Marjorie specializes in functional ceramics. Her "Installaion on Division" commemorates Lucy E. Parson's heroic life.
Jeanne Otis Jeanne earned her M.F.A. with a Major in Ceramics from Ohio State University. Jeanne is known for scaning her drawings and paintings into her computer where she changes colors and combines shapes. After printing the finished compositions she creates wall tiles from that print. Garth Johnson Garth earned a B.F.A. in Ceramics from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Garth enjoys push at the boundaries of ceramic art. There is a link to a short bio of Garth and an e-mail link.
Darlene O'Conner Darlene demonstrates techniques using a rolled foundation.
Glenn Rand Glenn is a Professor at Lansing Community College in Lansing Michigan and the pieces he displays here show cyanotypes on clay.
Patrick King Patrick shows several pieces using a combination of glazed text, porcelaine, copper and gold. Patrick also included a photo layout demonstrating this technique.
Paul McMullan Paul earned his MFA in Ceramics at New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in Alfred, New York where he is an Associate Professor of Computer Art and Design. Paul's pieces we display in our museum are ceramic tiles overlayed with materials, carvings and images. Also on this page is a link to Paul's resume.
Warren Mather Warren uses a Video Still image-Painted.
Raymon Elozua Raymon uses the works of American Abstract Impressionists scanned into a computer to create steel and ceramic sculptures. You will find Raymon's e-mail on this page.
Kevin Petrie Kevin helped to develop a new water-based ceramic transfer printing system as part of practice-based Ph.D. research at the Center for Fine Print Research, Bristol.
