Lecturer, Art History, Department of Fine Art, University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Stephanie holds a BA in Fine Art (Sculpture) from Sunderland Polytechnic, and an MA and Ph.D. in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London.

From 1987-97 she was the editor for the Quarterly & Monthly Publication Pages of AN Magazine, and has published widely on contemporary art, particularly sculpture, ceramics, public art and photography. In 1996 she curated Northern Rock Art: Prehistoric Carvings and Contemporary Artists, Durham Art Gallery and in1997/8 Contemporary West African Art, Hatton Gallery, University of Newcastle.
